One of my friends called me from jail today. He’s a good father going through hell because his ex-wife keeps talking out restraining orders against him, and the police are required to follow through. He said there wasn’t anything I could do to help. He just wanted to talk, and they gave him unmonitored phone time because they knew he was being harassed. It wasn’t even the first time. It happened a week ago too, and he missed his son’s birthday. He said he would probably be released in the morning, but there’s nothing stopping it from happening again. Abuse of the legal system is no joke.
